These Arches are huge
This is the one outside of the park, just a roadside short hike.
Arches National Park
This is one of those must see and do places.
With endless places to explore.
The First Big Arch
This is outside the park, between Moab and Arches.
This area just sort of gives you a great feeling!
Camping on the Colorado.
Beside the Colorado River with the huge cliffs on the other side. These are the beginning of the Arches National Park.
One of the beginning trails in the park, goes all the way to the far end and meets the road again. Val and kids took that and I drove around and picked them up.
These are everywhere and makes you wonder how they were made and why they are there and others aren't.
So many places to explore.
Once the place hit home with the kids, there was no controlling them. They went everywhere. Was difficult to keep up.
Amazing Rock formations everywhere, large and small.
Hike to Double Arches was amazing, great views along the way.
Hide to Double Arches.
Breathtaking views along the way.
Double Arch Hike
Almost there, stopping for a break and lunch.
Camping beside this nice rock, great place for that early morning hot tea.
These are huge
It gets a bit overwhelming at times to actually be right in these.
Our tents are at the base of this rock, so we sort of claimed it and used it every morning to take our quiet meditation time.
Why its called Arches National Park.
Into the Wilds
First full day exploring and hiking. Kids just went everywhere and our blood pressure rose to the point that we sort of had to let it go and make the kids promise to not take chances or do risky things. Not that it helped much, ha!
Taking quiet time on top of the world.
And More Exploring
Every time I turned around they were way up on top of some new bunch of rocks.
