We dubbed this place the "Cathedral". Just felt like sitting in there all day.
Though I did find it hard to relax seeing my son up there.
Northern New Mexico, The Jimez Hot Springs are about 103 degrees f year round. These pools and streams are about 103 degrees F year round. This was a beautiful hike. Two hours to get there, all down hill. I usually prefer hiking where it is up, as thats when you have the most energy on a hike. This meant two hours down and when you're tired and exhausted, two or more hours uphill. I had to have my kids share carrying my tripod up. Tks kids! I was standing in this pool up to my chest in this warm water, tropical guppies nipping at me. This is a very popular spot in winter as the snow piles high around and the water remains hot, for those brave enough to make the trek and camp, which are many.
