The early mornings are. pretty awesome here. A lot of thunderstorms happen in the night and the clouds remain in the early mornings. When the sun breaks horizon it lights up the highest clouds which makes so much of this get dramatic.
Storm clouds can be really cool sometimes. Add an amazing sunrise and it gets way cooler. This is facing west-southwest and the sun is rising the east-southeast. This is what I call a "reflected sunrise" for lack of knowing what it might truly be called, because the sun is not behind these clouds at all but is giving a glow to the higher up clouds, and sort of lighting up everything.
